So, I've seen Twilight 4 times now! I've never seen one movie that often in the theater before. Actually, I've never seen a movie more than once in the theater. I went with a group of friends the Friday it came out (to a matinee showing). I went 2 weeks later with a friend who wasn't able to go with us the first time. Another friend invited me to go see it again last week. Then, this Thursday night, I took Jode on a date to see it. It gets better every time I see it. I think it was a good adaptation of the book; the screenplay was well-written for the most part; the makeup was not the best; the sound mixing could have been better; but all in all it is a good movie. I think I enjoy seeing it with people I love more than I actually love the movie, though it is good entertainment. I laugh out loud at all of the high school drama, sarcasm, funny lines, et cetera. Each additional time I see the movie, I forgive more of the faux pas that really bothered me at first. And, each time I see it, I notice some of the small details that really make an impression, including the subtleties of the acting (I now notice that Edward is often holding his breath or obviously fighting internally with his temptation). The main actors really did do a good job. Anyway. I love the movie. If you ever want a girls night out, call me. I'll go with you to see it again!

Brisingr

Over Thanksgiving, Jode and I read Brisingr together. We really enjoyed it and can't wait for the next installment in the series! I've been waiting to make this post till I had time to write a review, but it seems that I never have time to write it. So, it is enough for now to say that we liked it. I recommend it.
